the locking fuel cap /cover has never worked on my car although central locking on other doors works fine ,so i decided to investigate today .
1st i removed the interior boot carpet and located the lock.
2nd i removed the lock and found no wiring attached to it , i hunted around in that area and on the inner wheel arch to no avail ,then i stripped the interior trim where the seat belt / rear speaker is still no wiring so i assume its been removed
my question is assuming the wiring is definately gone where do i wire this switch to ?
petrol fuel cap lock inoperative

Can't understand why someone would want to remove the wiring harness for the petrol flap locking solenoid. Best thing to do is to get one from a scrapped car as you will get the original conector and can trace the wire along to where it joins with other cables. You could get the lock and unlock signal from the bootlock, but I'd recommend trying to fix it properly rather than putting in a hack.

Pretty sure the wires your missing run down the drivers side of the car towards the front, joining the main loom around the drivers floorpan area!
