Ive finnaly got round to fitting my sump guard but can anyone tell me how the undertray is refitted? It just isnt wide enough to go around without chopping, is there another undertray thats used with the guard? :?

I just binned mine. Then again I have a huge home made guard that wraps right up the front of the car to the bumper. I doubt the undertray would come close to fitting!

I only want to put it back on so it keeps the rest of the plastics more rigid

I think the only way of refitting it is 2 cut out some of the back of the tray

i hit my sump and broke it.
removed the sump and made a cardboard template of the bottom of it. then got a off cut from a thick sheet of aluminium chequer plate and cut it to the template. then got the crack in the sump welded and the chequer plate then welded completly round the sump. looked the buisness and worked a treat, and trust me i tested it. only prob was i had to drill the sump after and make a new sump bung hole etc

I just cat a notch out of the plastic under tray on mine. You don't have to remove very much to get it to fit. From memory I removed a section approx 18" wide by about 1-2 " deep from the trailing edge of the under tray.

We had to do this to my brothers kit car 1st time out in it holed the sump.
