Hi ... Having bought new VDO gauges from a place in Germany I could not work our where to put them. My car has aircon so there was no room in the "favourite" place in the storage area in front of the ashtray. I didn't really want to take out the centre heater/air vents so the only place I could think of was in the console between the seats.
That's the finsihed product. I didn't really use that space for anything anyway.
I was quite chuffed with the result.

Thanks for the positive comments.
But I need the ashtray (being a smoker) and having a wind deflector in the cab means the ashtray doesn't blow all over the car !!

It's a diy job with some wood I bought. Then I made a small piece to bank the back. Covered in leather and it's held in place by the screw-on sleeves that VDO make (instead of those metal brackets).
The underneath of the console is cut away to make space but it's still a tight fit.

And there's enough space left at the back for a pack of smokes!
