From what I understand the diff I intend to use (from M Roadster) has same input flange bolt holes as an E30. Also the gearbox, though an unknown in a sense, is likely to be the same as either a 325i/328i or 5 speed M3. (can anyone confirm/deny this for me? I.e. which car the 5 speed MRoadster box also came off).
This means that whichever prop M50 guys use to convert will also fit my S50B32 conversion, correct? If so, which is this? E30 M3? E36 anything? The prop from the roadster looks promising (though mine is a write off) and when the engine and box are in there I shall measure to be sure and report my findings.
Many thanks for any help guys.

Im 99% sure that your gearbox will be the same ZF 5spd found in the E36 M3 (3.0ltr).
The M Roadster uses the same rubber donut as the E36 M3, so the E30 M3 prop will be the one you need, as like you, I understand the M Roadster diff is a straight swap for the E30 diff - I hope to hell it is, because Im trying to buy one for my conversion
