Manual window conversion

Hi all!

Has anybody converted from electric to manual windows on a 3-door E30?

I have the mechanisms from a scrapyard and hidden the windows in the boot of another car!

Do I have to go back and get the windows as well or is the glass the same?

The bottom (hidden) section of the glass is different on pre/post facelift cars. I know this as I converted the other way round and ended up having to get matching glass/mechs.

The changeover for the glass was slightly after the facelift upgrade. Early'88 facelift cars still have the old type wndows.
