just been speaking to a guy who pulled into work in a beige D plate 325i cab LHD.it looked a bit of a dog but he's in the process of doing it up.anyway he was telling me that he bought it because it was "German Spec" 2.7 with 210bhp and 145mph top speed. He said all german 325's were built to that spec for use on the autobahn is this true?????

it certainly pulled off pretty quick concidering the guy had just loaded about 250kg of sand in the boot 8O 8O

Mine is a "German" Spec 325 and as much as I'd like to believe that I'm packing 210 bhp the bloke is talking :bs:

Maybe he does have a 2.7 but they definitely all weren't

Just to add I have had mine up to an indicated 240 km/h which equates to 149.136 mph.

Now I'm not claiming for a second that this was anywhere near to the actual speed (If it was 15 mph less I'd be still well happy) so for a 325 to see 145 on the clock is possible depending on the diff ratio.

.....mind you saying all that if anyone out there is interested in the rare and very rapid German version I'd be happy to extort wads of cash from you winkeye
