Central Locking - Positive or Negative trigger?

Are E30's positive or negative trigger for central locking?

Negative trigger
Safest way to trigger (even if you have a wire/short problem) is to use a test light connected to ground.
No load = no light, current path straight through bulb and CL triggered.
I f you have a problem (potential difference between ground and positive) the light will illuminate.
