ran out of petrol, yards from petrol station, pushed it there, and then the thing wont start, now the battery is flat from hoping it would start  tried bumping it with 5 mates pushing and it gargles and then conks out.

Im guessingfuel filter is full of dirt..etc?

I get the impression that its trying to suck petrol in and nothing going through and my friends can hear the pump whinning away, but theres atleast a scores of petrol in there now.

Is it easy changing filter, how much can one be aquired for?

thanks for ya help

alright mate same has happened to me.

The fuel filter is bolted to the body inside the engine bay. put a clap on the bottom hose then on top hose and remove the filter. should be easy enough for a novice. halfords do filters, not to expensive. beware that might not solve the problem, there could be fuel tank deposits in the fuel lines, but change the filter first and see what happends.

Be aware that the fuel feed may still be under 43.5 psi of pressure.

ok, i changed the fuel filter,

got some injector cleaner, but i accidently put the whole bottle in without a full tank, ive got quarter of a tank but it starts, i had to coast it for 2 miles, it took me roughly an hour to get it on my drive. it runs very rough and lumpy.

could this be due to the cock up with the injector cleaning fluid.

or are there any other factors i havent yet looked over?

i can barely stay above 500rpm on idle and i can not get it to rev past 2.

Any help guys? :(

Shouldnt run worse due to the injector cleaner

Your not gonna get them proper clean unless you take them out and either try some brake cleaner or get them properly done

I had god knows trouble with mine

anyone else suggest something that may have been overlooked,

what are the chances of it needing to have the fuel line flushed?
