Hello,
Im a newbie on here,ive just picked up a new toy,a freebie from a mate of mine,a 320i d reg with 145000 miles on,and still runs sweet!
does anyone know of a good ecu chip or upgrade to warm it a little bit,ive already got a k&n 57i induction kit and a scorpion system(not dtm tailpipes yuk!) to go on asap?

I looked at doing mine, think it depends on the type of ecu as I'm not sure you can you chip the older jetronic cars.

Jetronic M20 and chips dont mix well dudes.
you can achieve the same results with a higher fuel pressure and a tad more advance on the dizzy, I certainly wont take anyones hard earned Ԛ£Ã”šÃ‚£ with regard to these, its old skool so old rules apply.
treat the fuel pressure as a carb main jet and you'll (hopefully) see where I'm coming from.

Thought i had read somewhere about L jetronic and chips not mixing that well,mind you the missus drove it for the first time last night,and i fear ill have a fight to get the keys back!!

Sorry to hijack the thread but Ive got a chip with "Pre 88 E30 BBR MSPORT" written on it. I have an 1988 325i SE, will it work / be any good / ruin the fuel economy??? Any Ideas??

Feel free to hijack anytime,ive just been reading about m20 2.5's having good results with big bore throttle bodies,i was wondering if they would be usable on a 2 ltr,anyone had any experience with them?

You can use the 2.5 TB, but it's quite a lot of work to fit one to a jetronic car... There's a thread about it on here somewhere but I'm off out so I don't have time to search for it for you!
