hi,ive started my 325 that ive put in my car, runs beautiful,except....!!! if you put ya foot down it back fires and hesitates,as if the rev limiter is set really low! i tried the airflow meter and another idle valve and its not them, the only 2.0 thing left on the car is the throttle position switch? the manual says it may need adjusting, could it just need adjusting or is the 2.0 one completely different? anyone know how to adjust it? also,i put a 3.0 bar presure regulator on it,i have a 2.5 one i could try, could it be that? thanks alot for ya help!

Terry

it could be anything m8. it was a crank sensor on mine. a blocked backbox on grays sport or could be damp in the dizzy cap. all 3 would cause it. not much help i'm afraid. but some ideas at least

3.0 bar is correct for the 325i, and the TPS is identical between 2.0 and 2.5....you hoping for 200+bhp out of this one??

Yeah that other connector is for the pulse sensor, it connects to one of the ignition leads, not exactly sure of the funxction of this, somone on here did say it's not needed, but I remember changing this cured a long running problem I had on my 316i...

Open the bonnet and on the nearside you'll see a wee black box. Take off the cover and you'll find 3 relays. Give em a good clean up. Think one of these is the O2 sensor. I had the same problem on my sport, and cleaning them worked fine. If they're buggered, you'll need to replace them. Not expensive from stealer methinks..
