New wheels are all good, but they didn't come with caps... Had an idea yesterday that some flat ones could look good, so 1/2 hour later...!

Are they too shiny or isn't that possible?!
Did they look best with no caps at all?
I've also had some borbet caps machined to fit (they just need polishing up). They're flat round the edge but with a 'nut' in the middle - like BBS caps but without the spoke pattern. Not got a pic of those yet though!

edit - remembered I took a pic with one of the half finished borbet caps!

Keep the caps.

I don't like the look without the caps, looks like something's missing on those wheels, though the look works on BBS cross spokes for some reason - makes the car look 'ard .

So I say keep the caps.

Not crazy about the caps, I reckon the Borbet ones will look sweet if they are the ones I'm thinking about. As the wheels have the whole shadow effect going I just think the ones on at the mo are at odds with them.

Still, good work sorting them out and the car looks lush :P

Borbet caps are these ones with about 5mm taken off em to fit...
Image
Got to strip all the paint off em & get them to a similar finish as the wheels - takes a bit of time I can tell you!

I'd love some original caps but there's naff all chance of finding any!

Painted the red rears yesterday G - laquer tonight then slap em on

Thanks for the opinions guys :thumb:
I'm never blimmin satisfied, so I expect I'll keep changing what I want, but I think I might try a slightly less shiny version next so that it blends into the rest of the wheel. That or finish off the borbet ones! & they were the least popular options - ah well!
