Hi Teh starter motor on my touring has packed up it spins but the solinod does not engage.

How do you get it of I jst spent 3 hours trying, I can get to the nut with a stuby wrench but i can not get onto the head of the torx bolt.

Is there any tips to do with startigntostrip pipes & wires out of the way

The ring end of a certain size of AF combination spanner will fit the torx bolt good enough, IIRC, but the other way is very long extension bars from the back end of the gearbox. Release the gearbox crossmember if necessary.

i think you can get it by griping the torx side with a pair of long nose vice grips and opening it from the nut side done mine not to long ago and that s how i got it as i have no torx spanners
