Hie Everyone,
I'm driving BMW E30 M20b25 motronic 1.3 MAF conversion .
All the while i send my car to shop & tune my car. but now the tuning hop has closed down. so i plan to tune myself today.
Eventhough my car cannot be start, but I've tried to connect Laptop into SMT6 with ignition ON position but it can't.it just show " NO COMM's " no matter which comm i selected. Btw, Mine is using COMM 1.
ps: The Datalink Cable is in good condition. (verify by ohmmeter)
Anyone can give a helping hand ??

Can you connect via hypertermal on the desktop dude ?
Connect the SMT, power up and see if what you type in the HT diaglog box is returned as an echo.
All else fails, troubleshoot the wiring, perhaps there's a reason the shop closed down

Are you using a "proper" serial port or a USB -> Serial convertor?

Can you change the comm port in the smt6.cfg..
i think mine used to reset when i did it via the program .
