Everything about my German plates is illegal and I have driven a lot at home (Suffolk), uni (Gloucestershire) and London, and not been given a second look. Admitedly its only been a couple of months but I dont think most police even realise you're not driving a German car, let alone think about pulling you for it!

BTW, i can highly recommend dubmeister, plates are of exceptional quality, they supply whatever you want - surrounds, plaquettes, banded, unbanded, etc, and the service is amazing. I ordered mine at 3ish in the afternoon on a Monday and received them first thing on Wednesday morning, all made up to my specs.

Very nice plates and worth the premium over the other companies

i've been pulled so many times i know all the shite that comes out of their mouths eg. "did you know it was an offence to set off on a journey that you do not have the petrol to complete" LOL! and "it's an offence to drive a motor vehicle with different coloured body panels" and finaly.. I dont know if you have seen the under bonnet storage compartment of a R5 GT Turbo but some copper tried telling me that it was illegal to carry bottles of water/andti freeze under there.. and ilegal for my washer fluid to be under the minimum mark.. oooo yes.. they're well trained round my area.. i was thinking maybe instead of employing humans and paying them rediculous amounts of money (which coppers get) they should just go to Monkey World and rent some chimps n' pay them with bannanas? :) .. ok i'm done.. glad i got that all out :)

The only time I got pulled was for my tax being out of date by 6 weeks. Oops.
I had a pretty good idea it was coming, went past 3 volvos and then a van covered in cameras and arials that had some live link into the DVLA. Then past another volvo (who pulled out to follow me) and finally a pair of motorbikes further ahead incase I tried to make a run for it in my (then) 318 touring.

Busted :(

Copper was fine, the DVLA opened the bidding with "we'll settle out of court for £30". I snapped their arm off. That was a trial run for them. If they start doing it on a regular basis I'm sure there will be some nasty £1k fines flying around.....
