need advise on 2 peice exhaust or 3 piece for my sport

hi i need to know whether to fit a 2piece or 3 piece exhaust to my sport,at the mo i wana fit summot cheap till i can save for a stainless exhaust

i have a back box in the garage which is brand new but dont know whether its from a 2 or 3piece system,does any1 have pics or know how i can tell?

also is there a different in the sound either makes as i always thought the early cars can sound deeper?

any help would be nice

Length of the pipes is what gives it away,

this one is for a two piece system
