I have recently bought a 1989 320i 2 door to do up and put on the road. The car is in really good nick for its age but has a few quirks which need sorting out.
The main one is a squeeking / chirping noise coming from the front of the engine, the noise get quiter when it warms up but is still there.
I have been advised that it may be the timing belt or aux belt, any help from someone in the know would be great

Cheers for that, I will check all of that and then post my findings, the timing belt is due for renewal i think. How much can I expect to pay for a change, labour only as I have the parts.
