I've spoken about this on the Shop Forum but not alot of people have taken any notice by the looks of it.

Just wanted everyone's opinion on this really.

I'm sure most people have seen these fitted to E36' and E46's:

Do you want one for the E30?

I know they make an awesome noise on the E36 6 pots and they look pretty neat in the engine bay.

I'm not going to say there is a performance gain but the E36 guys do seem to get something and I'm sure it would do something for the M20 setup (not alot as the AFM is there)

This bit of research is really for the guys who want the noise and the looks.

I'd have to customise a kit but prices would be around £200.

Your opinions?

Negative/positive...doesn't matter.

They can be used on anything as long as we make sure the filter size is big enough.

Do a test, and come back and tell us what they sound like, if they make in improvement in sound like they do on the E36, I would definitely be interested if they make a nice noise, I've always found normal cone filters make hardly any noticeable noise difference to the M20.

The BMC CDA makes a significant difference to noise and since this is a semi open design I would really expect it to make even more of a noise.

Will test it as soon as Nadz325i comes down on Sunday.

Not sure I would spend that amount of money without a performance hike, even if its a little one
