hi there lads right as u know ive broke the h26 e30 i had and as it had 2 strut braces hartge i decided to remove both of them to put on the sport the front one is at the polishers being polished up to a near mirror finish but the rear strut brace is a totally different ballgame!!

Somehow it now looks like this now to be honest i didnt have the car on the road long enuff to sort everything but judging by the state of the rear strut brace the rear top mounts needed doing lol!! somehow its managed to actually wear thru the strut brace if u look in the pics u will see where its scored thru the side of the strut brace with a round rim! deep , however do anyone of us know anyone or could any of us weld this for me ?? as everything else on the sport is tip top i thought providing this is welded up properly it should be fine wat do we all think ? forget the ruff look of the strut brace im in middle of getting all the horrible green paint off it thanks ian.

You should be able to find some one local to do that for you, may be a local engineering firm ?

If you get stuck i know a place in Derby that does some high quality TIG work.

I haven't got a car at the mo otherwise i could have taken it in for you, heres the contact details.

Spondon Engineering Ltd
78 Nottingham Rd
Spondon
Derby
DE21 7NL
Tel : 01332 662157
Fax : 01332 669098

For these little cash jobs they ask that what ever needs welding is preped ready for them, you know, paint stripped off and a light grinding. As heat travels easy with aly you need to make sure theres no plastic or rubber bits that are going to burn.
