Got a phone call from another canvasser, which normally I don't mind cos I just say 'no thanks, I reckon I'm trying to sell my car in the best way, bye'! But this guy says he from a finance company and got someone who interested in my car and asked me the condition. I said 'why are you asking me about the condition, cos if you read one of my ads you would know'. He then said something about what if was a toy car?!?! I was like what are you on about...and said to him 'where did you see my ad?', at which point he put the phone down on me. F**king git, I was about to do that!!!

could be a scam, could be a car finder service who were contacting you.
If you don't want calls like this I would just get the ad amended to say "No canvassers or agencies please"

You get these type of phone calls if you put your car in the autotrader, there was a post on here not long ago about this very same thing.
I had it when i put mine up for sale first thing i said was prove to me you have the buyer there and waiting and i will pay you the money otherwise there is no way i am going to be parting with my cash. They dont like that at all then just put the phone down.
