Feeling the need to lavish some praise on my turd after it managed to make it from Poznan - Hamburg - Brussels - Random Belgium Seaside Village and Back to Poznan again over the weekend without any hiccups at all.

Covered the 1050 km home journey yesterday in 9hr50 including fuel stops which I'm dead chuffed with. Managed to cover a 160km stretch in an hour which I thought might kill the old girl but she never got hot once, even after a 15 min period of sitting at 210-220km/h only saw half way on the temp guage. winkeye

Managed to see past the 240 on one very long staight but she was very light on the front at that speed.

Was a bit surprised by the lack of e30's present on the german roads, only saw 5 in total. As for good viewing on the autobahn's the most impressive moment had to be a CLS55 AMG which came up behind me when I was over 220km/h and the guy just booted the throttle when I moved over......unbelievable sound... like someone had set off a bomb.....best bit was I could hear the crackle everytime he changed gear even when he must have been 1 km away...

Damn it being back at work

Cheers :D Definitely very chuffed, only problem is that I now feel that I should spend some more money on her cosmetically given how mechanically sound she is. Feel an expensive summer coming on

Another good point was that I was complimented on how well she sounded at full throttle by two of my mates minted mates who respectively have an elise with a fully decatted exhaust and a '74 911 as daily drivers 8)

thing is- I kinda like my "ratlook" touring-complete with rusty front wings  esp when its 2.7'd i think it'll be quite the sleeper.

with regards to the engine sound-even my puny m20b20 sounds grand when pulling over 4k in 2nd and 3rd-6pots lend themselves to good sound
