Morning,

Ive been having a bit of trouble with my clutch (325i Cab 1989).
When im in traffic, the very slow type where you are basically riding and dipping the clutch, the biting point gets lower and lower to the floor until I have to take it out of gear and pump the pedal a few times and then the biting point is back near the top.

Does anyone know how to cure this?

Yea I had the same problem with mine. It is most probably the master clutch and slave cylinder's. You have to press the pedal a couple of times because the cylinder is leaking clutch fluid.
Slave= £25
Master= £55 from BMW

yeah, sounds like a master cylinder problem to me... its located just above and behind the pedal box. its not too bad a job to do, and dont forget to bleed the system properly after...

yup one of two things.master will leak fluid in car,slave will leak on floor.

it is best policy to renew both at once due to the imminent failure of the remaining cylinder.

easy but fiddly if your not mechanicaly minded.. :mad:
