Thats not one to use on less than a M30 really, I doubt it would boost on a 2.5 or 2.7/2.8!

Mines a size smaller (HX40ish) and I don't get boost till 4k!

If you go for the front mount as toby did there is quite a bit of room to use up, mines a mid mount and I have a large turbo fitting quite well in there:



I'd say go for it, but you'd need a bloody strong manifold to mount that fecker tho!

It's gotta be good for 700bhp+ that thing!

Its too big for a cosworth and it looks fucked with all that ally oxide inside compressor probly been leaft outside for ages so it will need rebuilding. With a turbo that size VS motor made a 3.6 M5 engine with 1400 hp with no NOS. Those size turbos are only good for drag racing and if your into that your spending so much you wouldnt try to save money using a holset anyway.

You could fit a T4 inside that HX50, in fact it's poss bigger than a GT40.

It's hard to see from the pic but that thing is a absolute monster!

Came off a 10/15ltr diesel engine but I'd love to see it in action on a m30 tho!

Don't know why people quote how much pressure a turbo will supply, it's not all that relevant.

It's how much pressure they can give whilst also supplying a given volume of air that paints more of a picture.

peppe uses a HX50 on his M20 but the compressor side looks much bigger then his in photo, but its a wierd photo I think the kids leg makes it look bigger then it is, it is still a T4 flange and outlet 4", turbine doesnt look as big with tape measure against it. Robins/ronta VM performance used one on a M20 aswell if you want to see one in action here is the video http://videos.streetfire.net/hottestvid ... 380330.htm and ignore the title, its not 900 hp and its not 3.8 litre
