) so I want to get rid of my car, to raise some cash and also as no one will use it whilst I'm away and if I MOT it it'll just be wasted etc... However it has no MOT at the moment and the gearbox is stuck in reverse. So my plan was to put a new box in with a new clutch and MOT it then sell it. At which point I began to wonder if it will pass an MOT easily, as I'm in a bit of a hurry and don't want to muck around fixing it up for the MOT after I have spent the time to change the gear box. Once it has an MOT I think I would be very lucky to get £750/800 for it as it could do with a new front valance and mabe wings.
So I got thinking, the parts I could sell would be worth more than the car, and I wouldn't waste the time effort and money changing the gear box and MOTing it - which could get pricey if I have to do the wings!
So as I am away for the week end I am going to give 7 days to decide what to do and the way I'm going to do it is to offer up the 3 most valulable constituents of the car for sale and if 2 out of 3 have sold by this time next week I will split it. If not I'll fix it. Hence the acid test!
So I will post in the for sale section, the LSD, the 15" BBS wheels and the Grey Touring Sport Leather with rear head rests M// badges and a grey centre armrest Gear and Hand brake gaitor -so keep the eyes peeled guys
I woud just like to point out that I'm being completely mercenary here, as I want the money by the time I go, if I was staying the car would get fixed no questions, but then if I was going to drive it I would go to the bother of changing the front wings etc... before everyone accuses me of destroling another E30.
Anyway opinions are welcomed here so that the for sale thread doesn't get clogged up.
