H and R kit?
what are these then? I know H & R do springs
I have a mate with an E36 M3 Evo who has just fitted REALLY fat Bilstiens, but I guess these would be too heavy for the E30?

If you're using standardish ride height, the PSS9 kit only allows another couple of inches of travel on the front of an E36.Has anyone used this kit on an E30/E36? Any thoughts?
Kind regards
Andy
Could lead to lifting a front leg if pushing hard.

I just thought I would have more control over the ride height/stiffness etc if I went for pss9 rather than the regular type shocks and springs?
Does anyone know if a PSS9 is available for an M coupe?

Adjustable ride height as well as damping, standard PSS9 only has adjustablte ride height..
Fully extended travel is an issue tho'.

Sorry, TYPO.
It's standard PSS that doesn't have adjustable damping, the PSS9 does.
The limited travel is an issue if you're running standard ride height because there's only a couple of inches left and you could pick wheels up when cornering.

thanks mate
Would this be better or worse running a lower ride height?
Is PSS9 just for track use?

go for h&r cup kit or get h&r coilovers (im picking some up today for my 5stud m3 setup on my project car) or kw coilovers are also very very good!!

If you run a lower ride height you'll have more 'spare' travel which would be preferable.Andy325i wrote:thanks mate

How do the H&R coilovers work on the rear? I don't want to use the damper mount for the spring too.
Also, are they fully adjustable like the Bilstien? (Damping as well as ride height?)

the ones i have bought are only front height adjustable with fixed rear height, as they are an older model i think from germany....
current ones have an adjustable spring platform on the rear to adjust height ...
i dunno about damping adjustments, as these may already be matched to the springs supplied

That's the kind of arrangement I'm looking for. I've seen coil overs used on the rear with strengthened mounts, but I'm not confident that the rear mounts can be strengthened enough to deal with the spring and damper.current ones have an adjustable spring platform on the rear to adjust height ...
I want adjustable damping to use with alternative springs, which is why we were going to use the PSS9, having seen them fitted, the lack of extended travel on the front is offputting.
Proflex is Ԛ£Ã”šÃ‚£Ãƒ”šÃ‚£, any other suggestions? Strength is an issue too.
Anyone modified the standard fronts to work as coil overs with uprated/adjustable inserts?
