I bought a car from the other end of the country and forgot to ask for the locking wheel nut key

Can these be busted?

They are 17's, i think they are kahns

The nut is solid with a few half circles cut from round the outside

any ideas

The AA can get it off. If it's an original locking nut you can get it off yourself with a bit of force

Not familiar with this type, but I've removed a few of other types without the correct tool.
Hoe about a socket that fits over the bolt, with a bit of small steel bar or rod lodged in one of the cut outs?

A bolt extractor usually works well with that sort.

he works in a garage so i bet they have one of those tools

I have a Kwik-Fit close to me and they have a tray full of locking wheel nut keys!! i lost my key so went down there and they has one that fitted!!
might be worth a try!!

Better still... call the guy you bought the car off and ask if he'd be so kind as to post you the lokcing nut key / socket. Worth a try.

I managed to get a tool similar to the above but it did'nt fit. Tried the bashing a socket on trick and that didnt work either.

However the seller said today thought he left it in the motor but he will call the place he brought the wheels from and try and get another key.

Fingers crossed, in the mean time ill call round some kwik fits etc.

You see the care has 17's with standard 318is supension. The girl look like she got a fat ass. It looks wrong and i cant sort the suspension for another two weeks.

ok just realised i was using the wrong type of socket for this job, however today the seller assures me hes got he original shop to post me a new key

well the locking key arrives, 2 weeks later, and its the original one (all worn and that), the f**ker who sold me my car kept the key and then lied saying he had put it in the car

after i paid an extra 20 squid so he could order a new one,

i am a mug but he is definetley a c**t
