Isnt it amazing what a simple thing like an inbuilt trumpet can do.

The noice is more subtle due to the filter being made of foam rather than a paper cone type enclosure.

In a moment of boredom/curiosity I removed my ITG and fitted the standard air box and went on a quick run. The purpose being that I'd had the ITG fitted for a number of months now and I wanted to see if I could notice the 'downgrade' to a standard air box. The difference was immediate with a reduction in pull throughout the rev range, most noticeable in the top end.

So of course the ITG went straight back on :)

I have been thinking about one of these would they benefit from shielding?

I only offer the ITG because it makes a difference. Every one who has bought one has come back with the same feedback as Incitatus. Its a significant difference over the standard airbox.

As for shielding, no point really unless you want full power in traffic conditions. Once moving the engine bay temps are the same as outside temps.

I'll do a group buy on them very soon to make them a little cheaper.

Ive just found something i may be able to use but not sure till i try out tomorow.
Its a right angle metal timber/ cabinet bracket.
Ive shaped it similar to gooners, and ill use the thick rubber bush off of the existing air box as gooner has.
Not sure if the metal is thick/man enough to hold the weight of the air flow meter.
Ill give it a go.
Be good to see how you have made yours shaz325, pics would be cool.

Gotta make sure its secure on the move, fan belt not too far away and i guess if the filter is fouling anything its gonna munch on the foam
