I have read on e30.de that a reasonable cheap upgrade is to fit bigger(280) discs from a corrado using the 325 calipers with slight modification

cool mate

looking at that if the m3 uses 280mm discs
wouldnt it be easier to use m3 discs and calipers??

would they be a straight bolt on??

M3 stuff should fit with 5 stud conversion?

Practical Performance Car Magazine fitted VW Vento front discs to an E30 325i, keeping original calipers and using custom brackets, so it can be done.

The M3 discs most likely have a different offset to the non M3 discs and they would need to be redrilled to 4 stud.

The VW Corrado discs should fit, but some people say they need modding and some say they dont - they do have slightly different hub dimensions to the E30 disc. The 280mm discs do fit behind 15" wheels on the Rado, but the main problem is if the caliper will clear the rear of the spokes on the 15" crossspokes once the bracket has been made up to move the caliper.

I was looking at using the Rado discs and E30 caliper with modded caliper bracket to move the caliper out enough, but I wasnt going to buy some new discs if they needed modding to fit.

"The second variant is suitable for the 325i (and others with ABS and thus the 325i brake). The 280mm brake disks VOLKSWAGEN of the Corrado G60 is used. The disks fit pitch diameter-moderately (4x100) perfectly. The hub should also fit after my level of knowledge. The brake caliper is used further by the 325i. However it must be shifted by an adapter both radially and axially. More exact details in addition are not present. "
