Just got my car serviced and sorted the dodgy idle but as with all things E30 another problem has been uncovered.

I need a new fuel tank, any pointers for where to get one and how much it might be?, I've bought from GSF before but their parts are often ill fitting copies. Shoul I get a new one or go for used parts?

Its a 1989 325iSE

If anyone's selling a spare I can paypal

Help or advice as always much appreciated

I recently fitted a GSF fuel tank (325ise) and it fitted with no problems, when I compared the original/GSF one they were identical :D

It was something like £85 + VAT

go with the gsf ones some people moan about some parts being sub standard but quite often this is because they buy a cheaper pattern part and not the oem ....you may find gsf source them from the same factory that makes them for bmw

I work at a dealer, and even i went for the GSF tank! Most of the time i get genuine parts and use my discount, but £220+, vs. something like £90 didnt take much thinking about! The GSF tank was a well made and near enough exactly the same as the original part.

I have a used tank if you want to go that route. Let me know.

Cheers,
