I'm thinking of tinting my windows to a dark grey. Any tips on the best way to do this?

Yep, pay someone to do it....
DIY tinting looks cr@p, spent ages removing some naff mirror tint from my van rear window, and paid a 'pro' Ԛ£70 to apply black film. Looks superb, no bubbles, wrinkles etc.

Personally, with the shitty democracy we live in tints are hardly noticable these days.

Indellible black marker worked for me, and it doesn't come off on your face when you try to peer out at junctions, bonus!
You don't have to go with grey or black either, the lime green looked good when I did it on my Austin Maxi.

i uised to do window tinting for a living & would highly recomend getting it done properly.
ive seen some real bad jobs done when it comes to tinting & can look real sh!t if not done right.
dont go too dark either cus it looks crap & remember its illegal to tint any of the front 3

if you decide to do it - do it properly. you need to see examples of the firms work - coz a bad job will look crap and cost more to put right than to pay someone who's decent to do it in the first place. choose carefully - quality before cost.
the law has changed and it's now illegal to tint the front windows - but companies will still tint them for you and you'll have to say that they've been done for some time if pulled and asked.
