Inlet manifold gasket is my first guess.

and yea it started happening when my bonnet was left open when it was raining.
that rubber pipe that connects to the air box and it to the inlet manifold was split, which i changed but still no difference
wheres this inlet manifold gasket? is it easy to get at?

I had this recently when i fitted my new engine. I had to jubilee clip both ends of the rubber pipe going from the Idle control valve to the inlet manifold.
This cured the idle problem, however i still need to know why it misfires slightly when reved from idle, and wants to stall. My easy temporary fix was to adjust the idle speed of the engine slightly which has worked.
I assume if you take the inlet manifold off, the gasket is underneath
