Anybody know the compression ratio for the S50B30 (E36 M3 3.0ltr) engine?

Ive seen 10.8:1 mentioned before but just want to make sure.

iirc that's correct, and 11.3:1 for s50b32 (100% on that)

10.8:1 is correct for the S50B30 (just checked the TIS)

efficient range for boosting is 15-35 Psi . Holset HX35W you know you want one :wink:

Heh - I haven't got a copy either. I remember a friend of mine sending me a link a few months back, as he has a 96 M3 coupe 8)

Just proves that BMWs can be boosted quite hard really. Having said that, any more than 350bhp in an E30 would be on the scary side of excessive 8)
