I have never seen the third brake light fitted in the bootlid on an E30 before....they are common on the face lift E36 convertibles but on an E30 which isn't even a convertible :? This might have been done before, it's just my first time to have seen this mod :) what do you guys think :?

Only needed for blind American's....

Spoils the rear end.

You can get one that fits on the parcel shelf if you must.

Third brakelight was compulsory in the UK after 1996 I think.

Which is lucky, as they look a bit stupid unless the car is specifically designed to have one.

Here's the third brakelight that was fitted to some American E30 cabs. Completely spoils the lines of the car:

And finally, some pics of a car with this brakelight:

Spoils it don't you think?

The cab is mint but the third brake light defo ruins it IMO.....I did see one of those third brake lights for sale on ebay and at the time I thought the seller had got his car's mixed up as it could not have been for an E30 cab.....but I stand corrected  ..not planning on getting any third brake lights as I agree with the majority that it doesn't suit the E30

I saw one better .It was a clear perspex tissue box on the back shelf and it flashed like a christmas tree when the car braked.
