I wish folk would complete their location entry in their profiles and have it showing. It would save on the hundreds of posts asking "where are you mate" when someone is selling stuff or whatever.

Tel, get a grip ffs.
You're not exactly giving out your address and house number. You can be as specific (or as unspecific) as you want. It's there to help other members.
Besides, I think if someone is desperate enough to steal an e30 (say in preference to any of the other more desirable vehicles on the roads today) then there are other ways to find an e30 owner's location.

But, the location data is not mandatory, so you can exercise your right either way.

Well unless they have x-ray specs they are never going to spot a car in a garage. Anyway anyone trying to steal my car is going to have trouble driving it with only one leg

a vague location like your city town or region can be quite helpful without it being to much detail for someone to track you down. i think some people are just a bit to paranoid

who would nick it to be fair? just an old bmw to most people.

You could run the zone shop and be "somewhere in london" selling parts to zoners at random meet up points in london.

NNNnnnoooooo

3 months ago i owned a 1986 VW golf gti in alpine white, a 3 door reg.no
C521 MAV we called it Mavis for obvious reasons, it was in quite good nick for a 21 year old GTI, it was worth about £500 stolen!
I think it was taken because it was easier to take than a modern car with a full alarm and immobiliser on.
An old E30 like mine with a camshaft on the way out is only worth at most £500 but it`s kept on the road and has a clifford alarm, a steering lock and one of those handbrake lock things (which are shite but it may prevent a crack head from trying to steal my car!)

I think the point was that nobody would go out of their way to steal an old BMW using someone's location info.

Perhaps the person who stole "Mavis" was more of an opportunist rather than someone who set out to steal that specific car....?

Another unprovoked attack on the Zone Shop. All the moderators know where we are, most have been to our office and place of residence.
Our details are on the Zone Shop itself. People get invoices. The building in which the office is located is OWNED by me.

Lots of customers come direct to the office.

To be honest these attempts to ruin a reputation are an example of the kind of person you really are. Your harming no one but your self.

You seem to have a problem with the products yet you use alot of them on your car anyway.

Imran and me will be at Aces, lets see if you have decency to voice your issues to our faces rather than be the keyboard warrior you are.

There was no need for your above comment.

As Ant said in a previous thread "your better than this".....or are you proving him otherwise?
