Finally got round to getting the M3 on the dyno.

It's a 215bhp model with a Milltek full system, brand new air filter and plugs.

Pleasantly surprised by the figures. The figures were consistent over 3 power runs done one after the other.

212.5 bhp @ 7156rpm
160.3 lb.ft @ 6510rpm

Approx RWHP just over 165bhp

Running quite rich through the whole rev range.

Then....I decided to see if Panel filters actually make a difference.
Decided to go with the ITG filters as I've had some success with the cone type ones on the 325i's.

The results with ITG panel: (three consecutive runs for consistency)

215.1 bhp @ 7155rpm
165.1. lb.ft @ 6218rpm

Approx RWHP just over 168 bhp.

ITG panel filters do work! 2.6 bhp and 4.8 lb.ft increase.

I also watched the power at the wheels figures of both runs and this is consistent with the results, approx 3 bhp increase at the wheels also.

Can we expect the same sort of gains on the 325 ITG Sal?

Oz,

remember, this is a Panel Filter only. I've never tried one of these on a 325i so wouldn't like to say. I would assume it would make some difference. The Induction kits certainly make themselves felt!

As you can see from the graphs, with the ITG Panel there is more BHP and more importantly much more torque through the whole rev range.

I can say that on the drive home you can feel the difference, especially in the higher RPMS.

Good work sal,
was just wondering weather the ITG induction kit on the 325 make as much of a gain as the M3 pannel which sounds as if it does if it can be felt.
I think you posted some graphs for the 325 induction kit before which showed
gains.
Cant wait to get mine fitted, got a bog standard filter and box in at the moment.

It's having the time to go and do the dyno's.

I don't have a 325i anymore but anymore either.

I had my last 325i dynoed with an ITG kit installed and it made 173bhp and around 177 lb.ft torque.

It certainly felt better with it on.

Unfortunately I never had it dynoed without the ITG kit.
