I am after somewhere where i can get a new hood and get it fitted to my cab.

I have done a search on this forum but cannot find the post with the link to an external suppler who then finds somewhere local to you to fit it.

Does anyone know..............

Cheers

Hi,

I have looked into this a great deal as I shall be getting one also.

Be very careful of the fabric you choose. For advice, I would recommend that you contact Neil Mcdonald from the BMWCC Convertible Register at cabrio_e30@yahoo.co.uk

He should be able to offer you some advice before he tries to sell you membership of the BMWCC winkeye

Ffi Ffi,

Thanks for the PM also, trouble is Southampton is a little way away from me, although i do visit the IOW a few times a year i would not be able to say when i was next down that way.

I do a bit of work on the M3 now and again but even then i will not drive it down there as I will use a company vehicle for that.

However for my interior parts i will be sorting that out with yourselves ;-)

So thats my only problem, i could do with someone alot closer to me really.

Cheers

Tom

Hi mate,

i got mine replaced back in October from a place in Chessington in Surrey.
its right opposite the Chessington World Of Adventures Theme park and at the time they were the cheapest around got it fitted and supplied for £550.

Check them out http://www.carhood.com/

Really nice guys and really helpful, fitted mine the next day after i called. Was really impressed.

Hope this helps.

ring these people

http://www.bas-international.com/

who make excellent hoods and supply them all over the country

I fitted one from them in march and think it excellent quality ...mrlee bought the same hood to fit on his in Bahrein and also gave it good reviews ...the cost of supply and fit in sheffield (i know this is no use to you) was£525+vat

ask for a sample peice which they will gladly send and ask them who fits their products in your area...they do lots of colours, mine is burgundy

i posted some pics of mine earlier

nadeem matey pm me your email address and ill send you some pics this weekend.

oh and by the way it was top quality mohair, really well fitted, made a substantial amount of difference when driving made the car more aerodynamic that prob coz the previous hood was knackered lol.

done the strip and fit in four hours.

Jaygee-> I have spoken to carhood.com and i agree the guy was very helpful they do a home fitting service but i am just outside there reach, however he said that i was more than welcome to buy it and get it installed by a fitter closer to home.

DaveD-> Thanks for that link mate those were the people i was after

Cheers Guys (and Gals)
