Hi all,
Looking for a bit of advice on the above.
I have front M3 struts/Hubs/Brakes which I assume will just bolt straight on. I also have a rear M3 subframe/Brakes/Diff which i assume will also bolt straight on.
What dif is recommended with a 325. Do I keep the M3 one of source a 325 lsd.
Is there a difference between the rear subframe track of an M3 compared to that of a normal E30.
If there is will fitting an 325 lsd into an M3 subframe cause any problems? ie. driveshaft lengths.
The wheels I plan on fitting are the BBS Style 5's which are commonly fitted to M3s. (17x8 et20) Would there be rubbing issues on the standard arches?
If anyone has performed this swap, I would be grateful for your input.
It may well be the case that everything will just bolt straight on and if this has been discussed to death before, i apologise in advance! new to site and all!!
Cheers,
Jim.

Don't use an M3 dif on a 325 as it's the wrong ratio, some one who knows this suspension swap should be a long to help soon.

in terms of the suspension its all bolt on. lsd's are interchangeable etc

bear in mind tho you will have a serious amount of toe out @the front when you initially fit the suspension due to the extra width in the hub

style 5's will have rubbing issues - you need spacers on the front to clear the front calipers

i get some rubbing on 16x7 et20 with 205/50 T1-R's

Thanks for the replies!

Jhonno - Where does it rub on your fronts? inside of the rim on full lock or on the arch? Also interested to know what wheels you are running and with what offset. Standard m3 basket weaves with et 27?

Cheers, Jim.

no running 16x7 with an et20 - weaves tho

you will need eccentric front arm bushes or it will rub on the back of the inner wheel arch

rears will rub on the outer wheel arch.. they will need rolling and a small flare possibly, altho when they miss the lip they rub on the actual inside of arch under compression if you see what i mean (there is some weird lump sticking out in there..), unless your running quite a bit of negative camber, if you are it will clear

without spacers the style 5's will rub on the caliper on the back of the spokes, then you may encounter rubbing on the outer arch with the spacer and a suitably sized tyre, im only running 205/50 altho want to go up to 225/45 due to planned power levels.. working out how to do that atm.. need more negative camber basically, so might have to go adjustable top mounts on front and summat else with the rear..
