came back from london yeaterday and the exhaust sounds nasty.

its loud and blowing like anything, defiantly finished and it needs replacing....which i have.... its just back in london....90 miles at least from me

does anyone have any quick fix tips for covering the hole in the exhaust so it doesnt sound as bad just as a temp replacement?

ive heard metal epoxy but i havent got any on me right now

i do work in a maintenance department so anyone who has any tips with general materials

im thinking tin foil around it with duct tape or something to just hold it until i get it sorted

Duct tape is just going to burn,
you need some exhaust bandage and putty

yeah i figured it would burn even if it is on top of loads of foil or something else.

anything i can just cover it in anyway with until i get some putty?

thinking of getting a repair kit but its gettin there in the first place so i need some sort of bodge job that'll be temporary.

I used a coke can with some chemical metal on my XR3i exhaust and it worked too - well it lasted 2 days before the can ripped apart.....

Fair play. Must of been a top quality lager
On mine, the coke can was actually holding the exhaust flange to the downpipe (which is why it ripped apart), so to be fair it didnt do bad

this is going to be the biggest bodge job of all

at work...sneaking out to fix it with materials ive blagged from my own warehouse
