usualy i just drive in and drive out happy

having some grief finding somewhere with gauges that will fit on the 17s but other than that i dnt see why they cant do it ??

Strictly speaking they are actually correct. All BMW alignment specs are quoted with a certain amount of weight in the drivers seat and I think some in the boot. They are just reading off the spec chart and it's telling them that it needs weighting so they won't do it.

In practice it makes little or no difference and they should know this, but that's what you get for dealing with Muppets :D

If you have a KDS alignment check at the dealer they will always add the correct weight before checking anything.

Last time i took a car to quickfit they used heat on the trackrod end, somhow he managed to melt the rubber boot on it and spilt the rack gator..... i had cracked it off and just nipped it back up the week before so it wasnt that tight

I only found out months later when the car went in for mot and failed on these parts so i had no comeback to them and did it myself, worked at a garage that had decent lazer tracking gear by then so i did that too winkeye
