Can't see it being the wheel's fault... :?

Best way to fit it straight, is to pull up in a straight line (with the steering wheel facing whichever way is necessary!), then remove it & fit it to straight ahead... All I can think is that your wheels aren't straight on the drive when you think they are?!

As Ziggy says. When i fitted mine i had it out by one notch, and took me 3 attempts to get it right, i know what you mean, i thought my wheels looked straight on the drive but wernt. You haven't changed your wheel size at the same time have you?

Just pull up to the curb with the car going in a straight line, and fir the wheel centre in this position, but im sure you have already done this

Paul
have done exactly that mate
everything was fine when i fitted my tech one and no wheels havent changed

Ant

splines all seem good
but i have to say when you put the wheel on theres just a wee bit of movement

would you say the steering wheel splines are worn to much then??

my old tech one and the wheel i took off a couple of months ago to fit the tech 1 were both spot on with no problems or movement at all and both went on and fitted first time

If there is any movement at all they have wear. The fit should be perfectly tight. (or the ones i hvae done have been) Only you can be the judge of how bad this wear is. Try turning the steering wheel stationary, and see if you can make the spines slip. If you can make it move, contact the seller

Just to add, i think i would be surprised at spline wear, as its surely always done up tightly? Ie. no room for slipping and wear??

Hi Daz.
Try this one.

Find a straight bit of road with no traffic.
remove the 22mm nut from the steering wheel.
drive in a straight line and stop in the middle of the street. (hence why i said pick a street with no traffic)
adjust steering wheel.
continue driving in a straight line.
check and adjust wheel if needed.
tighten bolt.

done.

then to be sure, put your tech 1 on drive and adjust till its straight. stop remove the tech 1 and put on the tech 2 without moving the spline.

if that dont work then the wheel is fcuked.

did you miss off the washer under the nut??
