help with 12v

been trying to fit my ipod adapter to the cig lighter, only to find my cig lighter is not actually attached to any form of wiring what so ever!!
NO WONDER IT WONT WORK!!

So... can i wire the ipod adapter direct to a 12v wire??(if so how do you do this?) or would it be just as easy to get a 12v wire to the cig lighter??

cheers guys, i havent a clue what to do, any help would be great!

Yeah it can be done.... but the problem is that you will have to connect it to a 12volt wire so itll only be on when the ignition is on.... unless you want a lot of flat batteries..

it should be fairly straight forward tho? stourport you? do u recommend wiring the cig lighter or ipod adapter direct?

There should be a 4 wire radio loom from a 4 pin plug fitted to the accessories socket at the back of the glovebox. The purple/white wire in this loom comes from fuse 12 and is only live in ignition switch positions 1 and 2. Ideal for your purpose.
