I remember reading in my old Bentley manual that there is a special grease called 'microlube' ? for greasing the splines on the clutch disc / gearbox input shaft but I havent got the manual anymore.

Could someone with the Bentley manual have a quick look for me and let me know the part number please ?

The local dealer has never heard of it  and can't find it on the ETK.

Cheers gents,

I'd use molybdenum grease on that mate.

Available from Halfauds etc

Have some molydisulphide grease and was considering using it but remembered about the microlube.

I've rebuilt the engine properly and wanted to do this bit 'factory' too

Sachs clutch kits from ECP include a sachet of the right grease in the right amount in the box.

the instructions warn against using too much grease as it can cause sticking, you don't need much.
