As reported earlier - 320i convertible failed MOT with big £Â£ quoted from garage - and CHRIS-W came to our rescue. Great day watching, learning...sometimes distracting him - but job done & fresh MOT. Thanks again CHRIS-W !

Failure items:

1/ Nearside & Offside rear flexi hose to metal brake pipe hose ferrule excessively corroded
2/ Nearside front outer ball joint suspension arm has excessive play in a ball joint
3/ Nearside rear bush from sub-frame to body sub-frame rubber bush deteriorated resulting in excessive movement
4/ Offside rear mounting bush from sub-frame to body sub-frame rubber bush deteriorated resulting in excessive movement.

I'm almost looking forward to failing next time ! Real pleasure, for me and my 13 year old to watch the entire rear end be removed (what we decided was equivalent of hips, legs, feet, joints...) and then to see all rebuilt, in what honestly was a very hard long day's work - great day out. By comparison, cheeky garages around her charge +20% of hourly rates to allow you to watch, and +40% if you want to help.

Price....precisely what CHRIS-W quoted from his initial response to my plea for help. Gentleman and certainly knows his E30s.

Enjoyed meeting you both. I've never sworn so little whilst doing axle bushes!
