First to say i don't like these posts, and am annoyed at posting one myslef, but just need to know the rough value of my car to see if i can afford another e30 i have seen for sale. Its:

Nearly mint condition throughout.
Metallic black paint
Complete M3 black leather interior, leather gairors, tech 2 wheel/m knob,
Black trimmed parcel shelf,
Complete genuine tech 2 kit
DTM S/S exhaust
600 quid of sound sytem (subtle, all sony) amp, cd changer, mindisk etc,
15" BBS with new rubber, or 17" alloys
Smoked rear lights, clear repeators , indicators,

All new steering parts, new disks and pads, new shocks, so many new engine parts, runs perfect.
3500 spent with receipts to prove and cry about

People who have seen this/been in it may have the best idea knowing its condition...

lol, oy Ali! You must appreciate that this isnt a breaker! The cab was one thing i was looking at, but also just in general. My opinion on its value is obviously biased.

In all honesty, although I don't know what you could get for it, I'd sell as much as you can of it seperately (leather/sound system etc) and only leave the bits that you can't really remove (bodykit).

However considering the amount of money you've spent making it your car, I'd keep it and put a proper engine in it when you can afford to insure it. I'm sure this would make you fall in love with it again like the first few days after you passed your test :)

You don't want a cab to use every day anyway - they're heavy and wobbly and uneconomical and noisy - your car is a great all-rounder as it still turns heads but can be used all year round without annoying the hell outta you on the motorway/in the rain etc.

Hi Paul

Get rid of the pin stripe down the sides and you'll get an easy £5K!! winkeye

Last year I sold a 318i that had all the extras just like yours. You've spent £3,500 on your car and you know you're not getting it back don't you???

Given that the sum of the parts is greater than the value of the car, I opted to take out the leather, strut brace, alloys etc. and sell it all separately.

I sold the car as near as factory spec. I could get it for a princely sum of £1,000 approx. on Ebay (1990 H 318i with about 94,000 miles & FSH). I sold all the parts for a further £7 - 800.

Clearly, you never really make money on these cars but I was happy with this.

Mamood- Thanks. The stripe went long ago lol :) . And yer i know i wont get the money back, but its only realy cost 2600, as i made 900 selling things like the bog standard lux seats to silly americans with a lot of cash!!

Neil- Thanks, it is near mint, just a chip in the windscreen and kit is wrong shade black. I like the idea od cabs, and i know what you paid for yours winkeye . Hope the sunburn isnt too severe  .

The 3500 included the cost of buying the car in the first place by the way guys, so after i made money back on the origional parts i have only realy spent 1850, mainly on garage work to make it mechanically spot on.

Thanks guys, i have a better idea now i think

probably £1000 to £1500, imho - the 318i is not a sought after car, no matter how mint it is!!

you'd be better off putting a new engine in it, or stripping it for parts, to make it standard again, in which case, you'd still get about a £1000 for it and make money on the parts!!
