You can fit it yourself, very easy to do.

Faz, I'm more than happy to fit it for you if you can take the drive to me ( M23/M26/M20) no extra charge dude, and a nice long drive back to enjoy it on

I'm usually very sceptical of "non programmable" chips - but I've heard good stuff about the Zone Chips.
Can anyone confirm any noticable changes in the cars performance after fitting one?
Many thanks!

not quite sure what you mean there fella, of couurse they are programmable, thats how the maps get put on themnon programmable
I assume you mean non- reflashable, well they are a UVEprom so they can be reprogrmmed should the need arise at a later date
they are the only option for the Motronic cars of the era, indeed only after 96 did the EEprom come into being
As for gains.... never had any complaints dude, in 5 1/2 years of supplying them.
DaveH (d6lph) had a drivability upgrade chip on the dyno a few weeks back, peak power was actually 3 hp down but the torque spread and area under the curve were massivly improved, the slight drop up top was a weak AFM, the curve went up again once WOT was reached so a good indication there's more to come yet.
The chip mentioned above is the best for on the road use IMHO, torque is where its at, unless you're going dragging

Apologies Ant, I thought these were "off the shelf" chips, almost like "superchips"
Never knew they were mappable like DTA/ MBE/ OMEX MegaSquirt etc...
Sorry again!

I can email the before and after graphs to anyone wishing to see them.
Its a genuine increase in drivability and worth every penny.

Mild, I guess ("driveability" and focus on torque).
@d6dph: PM
@Ant: have you received my PM? I'm genuinly interested just wondering which chip to choose as I've currently got no driveability issues I know of

Ant, what'd you recommend for 073? Is there the same choice? It's a road car (cab!), only mods are a nice RD 6-branch & supersprint 'zorst so far... but I'll probably get a BBTB sometime too... Any thoughts? If I knew what to get, I'd have ordered one ages ago!
