Do the centre caps match the wheels, that can sometimes be a problem with using aerosol paint, looks superb.

Looks like you've done a decent job there :thumb: Think I'd have done the spokes a different colour though - might look a bit OTT like that... Hope you like em on the car though!

do you plan on replacing the tires?

looks ghetto when you paint rims with the tires still mounted......

imho....... it looks cheap. Most people will prolly not know the difference.....but that finish just is way to far from factory to look good once mounted.

I have thought about doing the same process (with tires un-mounted, ofcourse) but going with a silver finish that is more stock looking....

however, no way of knowing how they are really gonna look until they are mounted on the car......

PICS OR BAN!

Don't take this as an insult. I think you did a great job painted the rims..... I just think you should have used a different color.....rather than spray painted chrome......that shit never looks good.....

Good effort painting them your self mate but the paint is a little bright/shiney for me.

I've had a can of the BMW wheel paint for ages that i've ment to use on one of my wheels, i've ended up using it to tart up some engine bits because it's the only sort paint i'd got that was close.

I'll post a pic up later when i get some batterys for my digicam.

These are a bit tarty, i don't normally bother with cosmectic stuf like this but i was fed up with how manky they looked before.

This how they were after they had paint stripper on them and then scrubbed with white spirit, they look a lot better than before but still a bit manky

and after painting, a bit too bright/shiney though :?
