I have bought a set of 15" BBS but don't know what tyres are mean to be on them! there are half decent 205/60/15 on two of them at the moment and two very bald ones but I want to buy a full set anyway.

Image

also bought 14" bbs with 195/60/14's and I have one with 195/65/14

anyone got a link to the proper sizes?

also am I likely to find a decent set of 4 tyres online for under £200?

I am used to my rovers and get them £20 each! nearly killed me to spend £75 on one tyre for my e30 saloon

Correct size for the 15" BBS is 205/55/15
Probably your best best for cheap & fairly decent tyres is to buy Toyo T1-R from www.mytyres.co.uk £50.40 each then pay somewhere local to fit them (prob £20 for all 4?)

For the 14" BBS I think you can use 195/65/14 or 195/60/14?
Should say at the back of the manual
Cheers,
Robin

I'd be tempted to use 195/60/14 though, theres a much better tyre available in that size:
Bridgestone RE720 for £38.50 each

My 205/50/15" P6000's were £54 ish each (fitted etc)

Good choice with the wheels, but why 2 sets? You must be as bad as me! :P

205/55/15 was the original spec but moving to 205/50/15 sharpens things up a bit without going too extreme or looking incongruous.

14" BBS are for my touring

15" BBS are for the saloon (currently with 15" oz alloys with 195/50/15)

they were an ebay bargain :-)

I like to have 205/50/15 at the front for sharpness and 205/55/15 at the rear so you don't mess the speado up!

2* 205/50/15 Falken ze512
2* 205/55/15 Falken ze512

Falkens are damm good tyres as well, but are pretty soft, so ware quickly, grip is very good though.

Other options are also on the camskill website, I bet if you buy 2 sets they would do a discount, give 'em a bell.

What he said! Camskill are excellent. They phoned me up to apologise that the tyres wouldn't be with me the next day, but they arrived the day after & 36 hours is pretty good in my book!
I couldn't decide between the falkens and the toyos last time, so having tried the falkens, I'm gonna go with the toyos this time. The falkens are great, but I just want to see if the toyos are better! :D

Just be prepared for stupid comments from idiots at tyre places who don't think you should have different sizes front & rear...

cheers for the info guy's :D

as for different sizes, I know its fine, just have to remember to tell the garage to check when they take wheels off.

(after removing my wheels to do brake lines front+rear, the wheels have gone back in a different order, same sized tyres all round so doesnt really matter)

what i used to fo with FWD cars is once the front set are half worn, I move them to the back and put new tyres on the front, dont know about RWD though as the drive wheels arent steering.

as for Falkens, I wil have a look, dont really want fast wearing tyres, I do mostly rural milage on terrible roads!

I'm sure it says somewhere in the manual not to swap/rotate the tyres for some reason or another?

I know toyo t1-s were supposed to be very quick wearing, so avoid them, think the t1-r are supposed to be better though?
Cheers,
Robin

you want 205/55/15 for the 15's 195/65/14 for the 14's

I'd personally put the 14's on the lux as they were standard, and 15's on the touring.

I'd go to mytyres.co.uk for tyres they seem to be the cheapest on the net and I would recommend toyo's then again I'm rather enthusiastic and dont use my car for work etc
Bollocks to this 24v scrap!
