Any pointers for how best to sort my pals interior. The touring is in good nick, however has had a dog in there at some point so I want to go over the interior with a carpet shampoo hired from Tesco - sound like a plan?

Anyone with any experience in giving the interior a REALLY good going over?

yes it works with the upholstery cleaning bit you get. 1001 cleaning stuff worked in the one i hired (rug doctor)..remember it takes at least a day to dry out and do the headlining as well, it comes up a treat

best of luck

a mate of mine bought a golf a while ago and the interior was almost black it was that filthy he tried different sprays/foams etc went over it with a carpet cleaner and still couldn't get it clean he ended up taking the seats out shampooing them with the carpet cleaner then got his pressure washer on them 8O you could see the dirt running out of them i didn't think it was a very good idea at the time but they came out like new he reckons they dried out in about a day laying in the garden in the sun and kept their shape

Thanks guys,

They are not too visibly dirty, but are a little smelly so I think the Rug Doctor should work a treat. Indeed I had not considered the headlining, but that too has afew marks so fingers crossed!

best
