My car has to live outside for a while so I'm after a car cover. There's this on eBay which is a bit cheaper than the £63.95 on the Cover-Zone website (assuming it's the "Voyager" cover which is the cheapest outdoor cover they do):

Has anyone tried one of these / any others? Or should I just go for it and get the Cover-Zone one?

Budget isn't a huge issue in this case. Can't really put a price on good red paintwork :)

I have one of these (the ebay one ) and its pretty good

Just a warning-notwithstanding they say it is "breathable" i would advise aginst putting the cover on when the car is wet/damp in any way

Other than that is is a great protector ( image of giant johnny flashes through mind :D )

Cheers for the tip. I think I'll just be using it to cover the car when it's dry, and just using the car in dry weather as I do now so it shouldn't ever be wet when I put the cover on :)

Had a full size cover from Maycars or May something or other. One of these breathable types.

Idea being , when the car gets wet, eventually it will dry, this allows not only the cover to dry but any damp or condensation under the cover to evapourate also, avoiding damp related issues.
Only problem is if you have to remove a damp cover, be sure to have somewhere to let the thing dry off. They're fecking huge!!!

I'd love one of those as i can only park on the street and there's no parking in my neighbourhood that isn't under a tree (sap, sh!t & leaves). Gauranteed if i did get one some tosser would nick it within a week though.

No result for Maycars on Google :(

How much did it cost?

The Cover Zone one looks like it ticks all the right boxes - well the UV protection is the most important one to me.

datourer that's a shame, there's a few wankers who nick stuff from round here but it's a risk I have to take. Better for me to buy a cover and risk it being stolen than get a respray when the paint fades....
