get a 30mm plus socket and knock them out with that

or alternativelt an old head bolt if ya have one lying around

head bolt is also perfect for removing the trailing arm bushes

hth

stick the bolt thru the centre of the bush and clout it fella

then when the axle bush is half way out a large socket 30+mm will help as the bolts too deep to still hit with the hammer

but once theyre halfway they will come out with 1 or 2 more hits very easily

with the trail arm bushes you only need the head bolt slide it thru centre and again a few clouts should free them up

if theyre still tight heat a little with blow torch and try again

i had hardly any tools when i did mine so had to find alternatives
but having done it this way i doubt i,ll ever try any other way now it was so easy

but what about replacing it?

Is it the same technique for the trailing arms bushes?

yepp no reason why not mate

i tapped the axle bshues back in with the bolt and a piece of wood to protect the bush

get some fairy on them and they go in very easily

trail bushes same lil bit of fairy and the bolt and just knock em in fella

i had previously always paid at least £100 a tim just having axle bushes done cos i heard all the storys bout how impossible they are but was breaking a car so had a go meself

not hard at all, if your ok with the spanners youll do em no prob

hardest part is dropping the axle imo :D
