My 320i convertible just miserably failed.

1/ Nearside & Offside rear flexi hose to metal brake pipe hose ferrule excessively corroded

2/ Nearside front outer ball joint suspension arm has excessive play in a ball joint

3/ Nearside rear bush from sub-frame to body sub-frame rubber bush deteriorated resulting in excessive movement

4/ Offside rear mounting bush from sub-frame to body sub-frame rubber bush deteriorated resulting in excessive movement.

Any cheerful thoughts appreciated.

Garage reckons £600 +/- £100, cash-in-hand for that lot. I ain't capable of any of it, but sounds like some tricky tasks and specific tools needed.

That sounds a bit toppy to me, frankly.

If you want to drop it off, I'll do the work & re-MOT it for £300!

As Chris said, that's too expensive. The cost of these parts is less than £100, £150 at an absolute limit. I'd say circa 4 hours labour to fit them all.

Take it to a better garage mate
